Hi, I'm Marissa.

A strategy driven, results-obsessed, dog mom who also happens to love trying new bakeries & coffee shops.

Take a look at some of my professional experiences

2020

Graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree

2021

Got my first professional job after university as a Client Experience Associate at Wealthsimple

2021

Later that year, I decided to leave Wealthsimple and landed a role as a Document Control Associate at Questrade.

2022

Still wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, so I decided to step away from the corporate world. During this time, I took courses in Project Management and UX/UI design.

2023

Not knowing how difficult it would be to land a new job, I decided to create my own opportunities which is when I started The Food Room.

2024

Started getting paid partnerships from my work on The Food Room which was an entirely new (and exciting!) experience.

2025

I started realizing that I wanted to collaborate with others and be in more of a strategic role within a professional environment that would help drive business growth!

2025

I also am currently enrolled in a Marketing Management program at Humber and I am in my final semester.

Building a Modern Food Platform

See how I brought a social media account sharing recipes and experiences to life using storytelling content.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS I LOVE TO DO

UX/UI Design

Great marketing starts with a great website.  Through extensive user research, I can design a website that people will never want to leave.

Social Media

The world of marketing has changed. Crafting a thoughtful social media strategy is critical to success. So let me help you with it.

Brand Strategy

Let's make your brand work with you, not against. A cohesive strategy will set your brand up for success.

MY MISSION

"The most important thing any great business can do, is to create meaningful connections."
